Growing up, I was called "weird." I felt weird, and a lot of the time I wanted to hide. I didn't feel like I belonged in my own skin. So, I decided to own the word. And once I did, the power it had over me disappeared. Now it feels lighter. Even freeing. It just seems natural to own it by saying, “I may be weird but we are/I am [also this]” Print measures 8x10”.
